Welcome to the Jewel in the Valley
Step Forward in History
Lodi is about a 2-hour drive to San Francisco, and about a 45-minute drive to Sacramento. The population of Lodi is around 59,926 and covers approximately 12 square miles. Lodi is quite an agricultural region, with wine grapes being one of the primary crops. Lodi has many wineries with tasting rooms to showcase the local wines for tourists to sample. In the early 1900's Tokay grapes were introduced into the area, and the town was able to grow and prosper. In 1907 the first Tokay Carnival was held to promote this particular grape. The Lodi Arch was built to commemorate this first event, the Arch still stands today.
